We were delighted to receive an invite from one of CARA’s head volunteers to take part in CARA’s booth at the Forbes Furry Fiesta! I was really excited because I’ve always wanted to work directly with CARA (since my first mini project with them was the Luv-A-Bulls event in greenbelt) since they were another active animal welfare organization that really do events to help raise money and spread awareness about having better animal welfare in the country.
I prepared heaps of little goodie bags for the visitors at the CARA booth as well as some prizes for their program. Since it was an impromptu invite, I wasn’t able to prepare much goodies to sell but it was nice to just have a feel of the place and meet more pet lovers. There were a lot of other booths there too, offering free services and goodies for their guests.
It was really a fun day! Even the students who came with me had a nice time meeting more pet lovers and learning more about CARA and their awesome work. I also got to buy another T-shirt from them to add to my growing collection of doggie shirts hehe! I even met Kuya Kim Atienza and gave him some goodies.
Hopefully next time we’ll be able to do more for CARA to extend better help in their mission for the improvement of animal welfare.
