In 2009, my vet suggested home-cooked meals for my dog, Jamal. I was a research and development chef, so I went all in: reading, testing, and baking superfood treats without artificial colors, refined sugar or preservatives.
Eventually I had 2 more dogs Jack and Sally, each with special needs and I started feeding them fresh food! I wasn't the only one looking for something healthier. Vets started referring their patients, friends told friends, and a weekend hobby became the Philippines' first all-natural pet food and treat company.
Jack and Sally ate fresh food since they turned 2 until 15 and 16, and grew old with me in our kitchen. Every year of good health is worth celebrating. And we hope you have this gift of time, too!
Whole Pet Kitchen begins researching pet food, developing superfood treats and celebration cakes made with all natural ingredients. Did research and development work with vets who understood the goal of feeding fresh food to pets even when they got sick.
Our first dog café opens. Reuters calls it Manila's first gourmet pet café. After 2 years more of development, our natural pet food launches. We begin making the first, BAI certified, natural pet food.
After finishing programs in Clinical Nutrition for pets, we started our custom nutrition services. Vets begin referring their special cases. We finally hit our goal of making fresh food for sick pets aside from feeding natural food to Manila's healthiest pets.
We built a more sustainable solar powered human-grade commissary, moved to a new store and continued partnerships with Pet Express, Pet Lovers' Centre, Vets in Practice and Shake Shack Philippines.
